SandcastleとVS2010 :: C#.NETでいく？

Visual Studio 2010がリリースされましたが、Sandcastleの方は変化が見られません。

最新版の状況

新しいMSDNライブラリの形式に未対応のまま。

現行の ”Sandcastle May 2008” と ”Sandcastle Styles Patch Rev3” を使えば、.NET Framework 4.0のアセンブリをサポートしているらしい。
（VS2010 RCでの情報で、.NET 4アセンブリのジェネリック関連の一部に問題は含む）

VS2010対応が遅いので、プロジェクトの分岐を申し出た方がいましたが、次の理由で止められている。

VS2010リリース後にSandcastleの新リリース作業を行う。
新リリースは、Microsoft Help Viewer（対応？）になる。
SandcastleとSHFBのリリースをあわせる話し合いをしている。

また、Paul O'Rear's blogの2010年１月の記事：The Help Guy - Help Authoring Tool (HAT) support for Help Viewer 1.0 では、Sandcastleについて次のように書いている。

Many people have been asking about whether we will be updating the Sandcastle toolset to support Help Viewer 1.0. I'm pleased to say that we are in motion with an update planned for this and we hope to be able to release it for public use in the late February timeframe. It will not at this time support the Visual Studio 2010 "look and feel", but will ensure that content that was previously generated for Visual Studio 2008 successfully will also be able to target Visual Studio 2010.

We will be making the sources of those changes available to the community as part of the update. Perhaps some enterprising soul could contribute updates to the CSS and javascript to produce content that looks more like Microsoft content as well.

２月とかはさておき、Help Viewer 1.0のサポートについて言及されています。
MSDNの新形式に対応するようなことも触れられている（微妙）。

Microsoft Help SystemとMicrosoft Help Viewerについては、「Microsoft ヘルプシステムドキュメント」辺りに非常に簡単な説明がある。

要するに…なんだこりゃ…
まとまった資料が見つからない。

ヘルプに関しては、まだまだ発展途上なのでしょうか。はたまた、自分に馴染み薄の開発プロセス・モデルを使用しているのか。VS2005ぐらいからなんか変だ。

VS2008のヘルプはインテグレーションが異常に面倒だったので、せめてHelp Viewer 1.0やらなんやらで改善されることを祈ります。その上MSDNライブラリの構造が変わる毎に表示がおかしくなるとかも無くなる事を期待します。

ただ単に「使い方」だけが変わるのは勘弁。
